Can we start without 3D CAD models?
Yes. The core of the twin is the ontology asset model and live data. Start with 2D site maps and dashboards, and add 3D views later with the Studio template when needed.
Does it replace our existing SCADA?
No — it complements it. Control stays with your SCADA and PLCs; the twin adds higher-level visibility on top: relationship analysis, history replay, and prediction. Tags are collected as-is over standards like OPC-UA.
How long does it take to build?
If data collection is already in place, you start incrementally with asset modeling and screens. It varies by site scale, but we recommend standing up the first twin for a pilot line in a matter of weeks.
